Background
The Namgok Academic Award, one of the most prestigious honors of the Korean Endocrine Society, was established with a fund donated by the late Professor Hun-Ki Min (pen name Namgok). The award was created to support future scholars and to commemorate his lifelong dedication to the advancement of endocrinology.

Since 1999, the award has been conferred annually to one recipient, accompanied by a prize of KRW 10 million.

Background
The Songwon Physician–Scientist Award was established with a fund donated by the late Professor kap-Bum Huh (pen name Songwon) to foster the growth of endocrinology in Korea and to cultivate physician–scientists.

Since 2022, the award has been presented annually to one recipient, accompanied by a prize of KRW 10 million.
