이번 EnM 30권 3호에는 4편의 종설과 14편의 원저, 그리고 4 편의 증례가 실렸습니다. 펜실베니아 펄만의대 Ahima교수님께서 “Connecting Myokines and Metabolism”라는 제목으로 myokine biology 에 관한 최신지견을 정리하여 주셨고 또한 therapeutic target으로서 myokine 의 가능성을 보여주셨습니다. 동아의대 김덕규 교수님께서는 “Subclinical Hypothyroidism and Cardiovascular Disease”라는 제목으로 subclinical hypothyroidism의 임상적 의미를 심혈관 질환 발생 위험의 측면에서 정리하여 주셨습니다. 서울의대 박영주 교수님께서는 아시아인의 분화 갑상선 암에서 가장 흔하게 관찰되는 mutation들을 정리하여 이를 통해 아시아인에서 관찰되는 분화 갑상선 암의 특징을 소개하여 주셨습니다. 마지막으로 성균관의대 이은정 교수님께서 “Diabetes in Asians”라는 제목으로 아시아인에게서 발생하는 당뇨병의 특징을 역학, 인슐린 저항성, 인슐린 분비능, 치료반응 등 여러 가지 측면에서 서양인과 비교하여 기술하여 주셨습니다. 이 밖에도 다양한 내분비 영역에서 9편의 임상논문과 3편의 실험연구 논문들이 원저로서 이번 호에 실렸으며 또한 흔히 볼 수 없었던 질환들이 4편의 증례를 통해 소개되었습니다.
