1999년 송민호 교수님(충남의대, Thyrotropin은 STAT1의 활성을 저해하여 Interferon-γ에 의한 유전자 발현을 억제한다)과 조보연 교수님(서울의대, 사람 TSH 수용체 발현 Chinese Hamster Ovary 세포를 이용한 TSH 수용체항체 활성 측정 시 PEG 침전 면역글로불린의 유용성)이 1회 수상자로 선정되셨으며, 2014년까지 총 68명의 수상자를 배출하였음
